Commercial Lunar Payload Services: NASA buys deliveries to the Moon as task orders.
- Under CLPS, NASA orders payload deliveries to the lunar surface from a pool of commercial lander companies as task orders on indefinite-delivery contracts. The awards below are those task orders as USAspending reports them.
- CLPS 2.0 is the follow-on contract. Its final request for proposals was released on May 15, 2026 and proposals were due June 30, 2026.
- NASA's acquisition page lists a planned award and contract start of November 7, 2026. NASA revised the planned dates on Sep 14, Sep 22 and Oct 6, 2026 and still marks the schedule as preliminary.
- The CLPS 2.0 solicitation includes a small business subcontracting plan attachment (J-7).
